Otway Estate produces a liquid to quench any thirst. From boutique wines, hand crafted beer and cider to a vast selection of delicious cordials. Each beverage is produced on site using natural local products – Estate grown wine grapes, local fruit and berries, or pure Otway rainwater.

With a landscape of natural beauty, an abundance of wildlife, fresh local produce and hidden gems of talent in our gallery Otway Estate is waiting to tempt any visitor. Guests and visitors can relax on the decking area, celebrate in our function room or cuddle up in front of the fire. No mater what the reason you can enjoy a taste of the Otways at Otway Estate.

Otway Estate enjoys an idyllic setting with 16 acres of vines hidden among 28 acres of bush adjoining the Otway State Forest, just a stones throw from the Great Ocean Road and Victoria’s rugged South West Coast.

Though the vineyard was first established in 1981 more vines were planted in 1995 with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Semillon, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Cabernet all grown on the property.

In 2006 the latest development emerged, Otway Estate now boasts a winery, brewery, gallery, function facility, café / restaurant and expanded cellar door. The cellar door has a retail food outlet enabling the visitor to sample regional and home made produce. While the café, lounge or deck provides a place to relax and enjoy a tasting plate teamed with your favourite beverage.

Winemaker Ian Deacon is producing premium wines from the Estate including a range of sparkling wines available exclusively at Cellar Door. With a strong reputation in the wine industry and vast experience in Australia and France, Ian puts his stamp on our Otway Estate wines.

Head Brewer, Luke Scott is well regarded in the brewing industry starting his career at CUB before travelling overseas then returning to work as head brewer at Potters Brewery in the Hunter Valley then moving to Otway Estate is 2008. The medal winning Prickly Moses beers are testament to his success.

Otway Estate will always remain a boutique label produced by using only estate-grown grapes and traditional methods for our wines and using only the finest products sourced world wide and pure Otway rainwater for the “Prickly Moses” handcrafted beers, ales and stouts. Our organic cider has a yearly release  which is quickly snapped up - made from locally grown Gellibrand apples.
